Glen Ulett obtained his PhD in Microbiology from James Cook University (Australia) in 2001, completed post-doctoral research at St Jude Children's Research Hospital, the University of Queensland, and at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Currently, he is Professor of Microbiology at Griffith University on the Gold Coast, Queensland, where he leads a research team on bacterial infection biology and the mechanisms of host response to infection with a focus on group B Streptococcus, uropathogenic Escherichia coli, and Burkholderia. He has published over 90 papers in microbiology and infectious diseases pathogenesis and is the recipient of multiple competitive Grants and research Awards from The Australian Research Council, the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia, the American Society for Microbiology, the Federation of Immunological Societies of Asia-Oceania, and the Australasian Society for Immunology.
